Experienced and beginners are always welcome. Instruction and meditation practice are by donation. Participants' weekly donations are $5.00.
In the spirit of our first teacher, Shunryu Suzuki, our zendo is open to everyone. Thus, in cases of financial hardship, we do not require the full donation.* But, because we have expenses, including rent, all participants are expected to make a weekly donation.
"Dana," the act of donating to support the sangha (community of practitioners), is part of our practice. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit so all recorded donations are tax deductible. Donations may be made in cash or by personal check.
* Should you wish to participate but are experiencing financial hardship, please call the Director to discuss your situation or plan to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to speak with her.
